The Giants have placed Plaxico Burress on the non-football injury list, ending his season. The Giants don't have to pay him the rest of this season and this might be step 1 in the 'How do we get ready for life without Plax' plan.
Step 2, let's see what we have once and for all in Hixon and Steve Smith.
Both are guys worth having, Hixon likely to get the starts in Plax's place but either one might have some value. Bump Toomer up a tad as he will get some looks as well.
