WR Rankings Week 3

I love me some Brandon Marshall. Will he get 18 catches again. Probably not, but the Saints secondary is still shaky and the D has let up 256 yards and a pair of TDs. Against Denver - THAT'S the FLOOR. Marshall will continue his great work this week.

TO has a matchup that isn't quite as tasty, but Owens still will be in a situation where Romo and the offense will throw a lot and TO will get his. Why they stopped throwing to him much if at all in the second half against Philly is beyond me. He'll be good for yards and TDs this week.

Reggie Wayne is flourishing in the #1 spot and while Manning is still not 100% Manning, the Jags coughed up 210 yds and a TD to Trent Edwards who, while I like, is no Peyton Manning. Wayne will have a significant day this Sunday.

Steve Smith returns and faces a Vikes secondary which is vulnerable . Unable to cause turnovers or pressure and sack the QB, Delhomme will have time to work and get his top WR up to speed and into the game plan. Smith will have a lot to prove and should get near - if not more than - 100 yards and a TD.

Why isn't Randy Moss higher? Cassel is still not looking for him enough or being allowed to air the ball out. Why isn't he lower then? He's Randy Moss. The Pats will get him more involved, Cassel will be allowed to throw more and the Phins are giving up 272 passing yards per game and a total of 5 passing TDs so far this season.

On the low side, I am tempted to have Vincent Jackson (28) a little higher as I think Chambers will get a lot of attention against a tough secondary pairing in Darrell Revis and rookie Dwight Lowrey. Jerricho Cotchery (25) could be higher if his targets tick up more. The Chargers secondary is vulnerable and Cotchery could be the benificiery. Muhsin Muhammad (33) and DJ Hackett (not listed) will see a big drop in targets and catches with Smith back.
